कब तक जलेगी दहेज की आग में बेटी हिन्दुस्तान की?

पुष्पम के साथ घोर अन्याय जलाया,पिटाई की और मार डाला

यह सब सात जनमों तक तेरा साथ नहीं छोड़ने का वादा लेने वाले के सामने हुआ

बेगूसराय। धिक्कार है उस पति को जिसने दुनिया के सामने अग्नि को साक्षी मानकर सात जनमों तक तेरा साथ नहीं छोड़ने का वादा करता है। उसी के सामने दहेज की मोटी रकम मांगने वाले पुष्पम को अत्याचार करते हैं। आग से जला देते हैं। रूई की तरह धुन देते हैं और अंत में मार देते हैं। और वह मांग में सिंधुर डालने वाला नपुसंक की तरह आंख फाड़कर बस देखते ही चला गया। उस कायर को हिम्मत नहीं कि अपनी बीबी के साथ होने वाले हैवानियत पर मौनधारण व्रत तोड़े और घर के अंदर दहेज के खिलाफ महाभारत छेड़ दे।

 दर्दनाक दास्तां यह है कि 12 साल के पहले पुष्पम की कुमार राज के साथ शादी की गयी।  शादी के बाद से ही दहेज की मांग उठने लगी। मोटी रकम की मांग होने लगी। मांग दुल्हा के पिताजी ही करने लगे। 11 मई,2013 को पांच साल के पुत्र के सामने ही निर्दयता से मां की पिटाई की गयी जो जानलेवा साबित हो गयी। इस दहेज हत्याकांड के बारे में तत्काल एफआईआर थाना में दर्ज किया गया। मगर स्थानीय थाना ने तत्क्षण कार्रवाई करने की जरूरत नहीं समझी। हां, इतना जरूर किया और कहा कि दोनों पक्ष आपस में बैठकर समझौता कर लें। इस दहेज हत्याकांड के नामजद आरोपी को गिरफ्तार करने में पुलिस असक्षम साबित हो रही है। इस कांड के चश्मदीह पुष्पम के पुत्र मां के साथ घटित आपबीती अपने ननिहाल के लोगों के बीच सांझा करके खुब रोने लगता है। इस तरह के लोहमहर्षक वारदात के पीछे वाले शख्स के साथ पुलिस कार्रवाई करने से पीछे है। इसके आलोक में बेगूसराय जिले के एसपी को पत्र लिखा गया है। इस समय बेगूसराय की एसपी हरप्रीत कौर हैं। जो तत्काल ही जांच करने में जूट गयी हैं। इन से उम्मीद है कि पुष्पम के हत्यारों को जुल्म के अनुसार सजा मिल जाएगी।

As an Indian citizen I am ashamed to inform you that in your district a gruesome case of dowry death took place which has outraged many. 
Pushpam was tortured, burnt, beaten and killed in front of her son because her family couldn’t pay the dowry that her in-laws demanded. 
Twelve years ago, Pushpam got married to the Kumar Rai family in Bihar. Soon after her wedding, her husband and in-laws started demanding money as dowry. 

On 11th May this year, as her five-year-old son watched, they brutally beat and murdered her because they did not get the money that they demanded. 

The family immediately filed an FIR at the local police station. Shockingly, the police failed to take action and asked us to compromise if we wanted this case to go in our favour. The culprits have not been arrested yet. 

Her son talks about his mother’s death everyday. I want justice for my sister. But as a brother who couldn’t do anything to save his sister, It's important to ensure that no woman ever suffers her plight in my district Begusarai in Bihar. 

I urge you to immediately start an investigation into my sister's death so that the guilty can be punished. 

As the SP, it is your duty to ensure that such acts of violence against women don’t occur in Begusarai district again. 
Dowry has been a evil in our country for many years, but it's time to end this practice in Begusarai and for this it's essential that you play a crucial mail in this. 

Please ensure justice for Pushpam and end the practice of dowry and domestic violence against women in Begusarai.
